Sustainability at Burg-Wächter
Our own bee colonies –
the BURGI BEES!
We are very pleased to announce that BURG-WÄCHTER is now the proud owner of its own bee colonies!
This summer, we settled bee colonies on our company premises to set an active example for environmental protection and sustainability. With this step, we want to contribute to the promotion of biodiversity and support the preservation of bees as important pollinators. In doing so, we want to take responsibility for the environment and create awareness for ecological issues.
BURG-WÄCHTER Honey
A piece of nature for you
We are delighted to offer you our homemade honey – a truly natural product that we have harvested with great care and love from our own bees. Our bees do a great job every day, visiting flowers on our company premises and in the surrounding area, not only producing delicious honey but also making a valuable contribution to pollination and thus to biodiversity. The honey we produce is completely natural and reflects the flavour of the respective season and our Volmarstein region.
The busy bees: natural wonders in action!
Did you know that honeybees flap their wings an incredible 11,400 times per minute? This is not only fascinating, but also shows how tirelessly these little insects work to sustain our planet.
Without bees, our world would be less colourful, less tasty and less vibrant. Their pollination work is essential for agriculture and biodiversity. They therefore deserve our
protection and respect.
Together for bee protection:
plant bee-friendly flowers, avoid pesticides and support local beekeepers.
The Incredible Journey of Bees
Did you know that bees have to make an impressive 40,000 trips between their hive and flowers to collect 1 kg of honey? These small, hard-working insects do extraordinary work that often goes unnoticed.
Their tireless efforts are not only important for honey production, but also for the pollination of many plants that support our food security and biodiversity.
Let's work together to appreciate and protect bees and the valuable work they do.
