Models for every requirement
Depending on the intended use, safes can be divided into different categories. Valuables safes, furniture safes, fire safes, business safes, wall safes or gun safes/weapon safes. This classification says nothing about the quality of a safe. This classification makes it easier to orientate oneself when choosing a safe.
The freestanding home safe
Models for installation or free-standing
The Freestanding home safe is certainly the most universal type of safe. As the name suggests, you integrate the Freestanding home safe into a wardrobe or living room cupboard. This way you always have your valuables at hand. But at the same time not obviously visible to strangers.

One safe, double security
Protecting your valuables is the most important task of a safe. But what about the loss of important documents due to a fire? For example, identity cards, vehicle documents, land register extracts? Here, a safe with certified fire protection protects. BURG-WÄCHTER offers safes with fire protection of at least 30 minutes (fire resistance LFS 30P according to EN 15659). Or even at least up to 60 minutes (fire resistance LFS 60P according to EN 15659 or class NT FIRE 0160P). This means: During this time, the ignition temperature inside the safe is not reached in the event of a fire.

For responsible storage
Whoever carries a weapon as a hunter, sports shooter or on duty also bears great responsibility. Therefore, weapons should always be stored safely. The law requires a weapons cabinet with at least resistance grade 0/N. A gun cabinet is suitable for long guns. It can hold up to eight rifles. A gun safe is suitable for handguns. Your weapons are thus optimally protected against unauthorised use.-

Look out for certified safes
The most important certificates
The safe types are available in different security standards. They are subdivided into resistance grade or security level. Very important: Only buy certified safes! Every safe from BURG-WÄCHTER is certified. We state transparently up to which sum insured your valuables are insured. Because an important point when buying a safe is the appropriate resistance level. Generally speaking, the higher the resistance level, the higher the possible sum insured.
Tip: Do not choose a resistance level that is too low. This way, higher values will also be insured in the future. You should also check the exact conditions with your household insurance company before buying a safe.

ECB-S
Many BURG-WÄCHTER safes meet the requirements of the European standards EN 1143-1 and/or EN 1047-1, which is confirmed in the ECB-S certificates of the European Certification Board - Security Systems (certification body according to EN 45011) for the safe model. The ECB-S certification includes unannounced tests of the production several times a year. This ensures high quality at all times.
VdS
The VdS tests and certifies products relating to security. The BURG-WÄCHTER safe locks SecuSafe (mechanical lock) and SecuTronic (electronic lock) achieve high resistance values in the tested lock classes.
VDMA
Safes with this symbol meet the technical requirements of the standard sheet 24992 (as of May 1995). They thus have security level B. These safes are constructed with double walls. Thus, they offer solid protection against burglary attempts and an attractive price-performance ratio.

This label says: put through its paces in the BURG-WÄCHTER test laboratory. This means that even with inexpensive safes you can be sure of getting reliable brand quality.

For all those who prefer a key, BURG-WÄCHTER also offers a special solution: the convertible lock. If a key gets lost, you don't have to change the lock. You can simply change the lock on the SecuSafe high security lock to a new set of keys. The Diplomat, Karat, City-Line, Office and Royal safe series have this lock.
